As the stars in the sky turns brighter, the music becomes louder and the beach starts filling up with people dancing, chatting and flirting. La Plancha looks like something that has been constructed from driftwood, but the shabby look just adds to the “the come as you like” atmosphere that surrounds the place. If you get to La Plancha early you can view the sunset while enjoying a cold one and some tapas in one the bean bag chairs right on the beach or on the two level terrace which is where you find the bar. If you don’t feel like dressing up, head to La Plancha, where you can dance in the sand at this brightly colored, unpretentious, old school beach club. Mint is everything you expect from an international night club with modern interior and furniture, true to its name held in brightly colored green, a large bar and a DJ booth from where mainly electronic music flows down on the dance floor. Mint – another Jalan Petitenget favorite – has for a while been one of the trendiest spots for late night cocktail sipping and dancing in Seminyak and although newer clubs that has popped up in the in the area, Mint keeps attracting Seminyak’s glamorous expats and holidaymakers on the weekends. Generally Hu’u Bar are liveliest on the weekends and in the high season. The DJ’s Hu’u Bar attracts are among the best you find in Bali and that alone makes Hu’u bar worth a visit. The fourth side of the bar opens up to the dance floor and a small stage where international DJ’s play on most weekends (Have a look at Hu’s Bar’s website for details). Centrally located in the room is the bar, shaped as a square so the tenders can serve their cocktails on all four sides, surrounded by lounge chairs and tables on three sides. The main area is combined lounge, bar and dance floor. Located in a distinguished wooden building on Jalan Petitenget, Hu’u Bar has been a favourite party spot for Seminyak glamorous crowds for more than a decade.
